Jakub Brandalík was born on 6 March 1972 in Třebíč 

Czech Republic

He has a civil engineering degree, majoring in transport construction.

He has been living in Prague since the age of 8. 

He is married with two children.

He founded Lightway, where 28 years ago he developed crystal sun tunnels to capture daylight from the sky to illuminate dark interior spaces of buildings. Where there are no windows and it's dark during the day, suddenly there is daylight from crystal sun tunnels. He holds an international patent in the field of tubular sun tunnels. The company has become a world pioneer and market leader in daylight lighting for buildings.
